My Clincial Specialties
Anxiety
Anxiety is one of my absolute FAVORITE things to treat because it’s so darn treatable! You are not broken, in any way. Your brain is working exactly as it was designed to—it’s just aiming to ensure your survival. But a hypervigilant brain is exhausting. Let’s throw some sour cream on that enchilada of a brain and let you experience a new sense of calm.
Relationships
How lucky we are if we have someone to love! Relationships are a profound source of happiness in our lives, and also sometimes a source of grief. Together, let's collaborate on strategies to effectively navigate and optimize the relationships in your life, ultimately enhancing your overall life satisfaction.
Depression
Depression has a way of ruining how we feel today and convincing us that EVERY SINGLE DAY from here on out will be just as bad. I love working with depressed clients, because turning that feeling around and letting the rays of hope back in feels like sunshine on the face. Let’s work together and pull you out of this slump. You deserve more out of life, and it’s there waiting for you.
Emotional Regulation
Being able to weather the ups and downs in life is an unbelievable advantage, and creates generational stability (that means your children and grandchildren will benefit if you learn this!). If you feel life is grabbing you by the throat and taking you for a ride, let’s see if we can change that for you.
We can work together to help you…
Create greater personal insight
Improve your communication and relationships
Resolve conflict
Release past traumas
Teach you tangible and helpful coping skills
Improve self-esteem
Change specific behaviors
Create an on-going support system
Navigate a life transition, such as a divorce, a newly blended family, having a baby, a career change, menopause, or retirement. Whatever phase you are trying to figure out, having a trusted confidant can be helpful. Learn more.

Welcome to therapy! It’s incredible you’re willing to put yourself out there and learn something new. I’ll lay it out straight for you….first appointments can feel a little awkward. How much do I share? What if the therapist is weird? What if I can’t think of anything to say? But relax. If the first session is awkward, you’re doing it right. And if awkwardness persists, make a change. You should like your therapist and you should feel comfortable there. I make putting clients at ease a priority. Learn more.

I only work with select couples, and mostly from marginalized groups who have difficulty working with therapists who struggle to put biases aside. My office is 100% a no shame/no judgment zone. But for typical couples counseling clients, I’m happy to provide a referral. If you think you might be a fit with me, please reach out. Learn more.
